We seek to provide Rescue, Recovery and Restoration in Jesus’ Name.

Our Ministry operates through three core components – Rescue, Recovery, and Restoration – focusing on reaching individuals in crisis, treating them with respect and dignity, and guiding them towards healthy, productive lives.

Our Mission

Western Carolina Rescue Ministries (WCRM) exists to serve the homeless, poor, and addicted populations of Western North Carolina. As a nondenominational ministry, we meet people in crisis, focus on helping them at the point of their need, invest in their future, and help them until they can move forward.

We’re more than a shelter.

The Power of Your Support: Meeting Critical Needs in Our Community

For over 44 years, Western Carolina Rescue Ministries has been providing safe shelter, recovery programs, and meals for those in need. From our overnight shelters to our Men’s Recovery Program and Abba’s House Recovery for women and children, we are committed to helping individuals find hope, healing, and a fresh start. But we can’t do this alone—we need your support.

How You Can Help

Your financial gift directly impacts lives by providing essential services, including:

  • Safe shelter for men, women, and children in crisis
  • Addiction recovery programs that offer long-term healing for men, and women who are pregnant or have babies and small children who can live with them while they heal together
  • Nutritious meals for those who would otherwise go hungry
  • Job training, counseling, and case management to promote self-sufficiency

Please consider making a financial contribution today to help us continue providing these life-changing services.

Make an Impact in your community.

‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’

At Western Carolina Rescue Ministries, we believe the words of Jesus found in Matthew 25:40, understanding that every act of kindness to the least among us is an offering to Christ Himself. Each service we provide, from a meal to a warm bed, is a testament to our commitment to serving others as if we are serving the Lord directly.
